Sargheve Sukumaran

Sargheve is a seasoned design leader, strategic consultant, mentor, and entrepreneur with a passion for creating innovative solutions that make a positive impact on people's lives. He has worked on multidisciplinary teams in the product development and innovation space, delivering high-impact products and experiences for global markets, including Mobile, Consumer Electronics, Healthcare, and Packaging. He was the former chief designer and head of mobile product design in Samsung design (south-west Asia studio). Sargheve completed his Electronics engineering at MG University in Kerala, followed by a Masters in Design from IIT Delhi. Since then he has lived and worked across four continents, delivering more than a dozen physical and digital products to global markets, including those for Fortune 500 companies.

As one of the founding members of the Kerala Association of Poland (KAP), Sargheve is actively involved in the community's activities, leading and organising various events since 2015. He also handles the media and public relations functions for KAP and played a significant role in the recent evacuation effort 'Operation Ganga' during the early days of the Ukrainian war, especially in setting up the communications channels & coordination.

Sargheve is a serial entrepreneur who co-founded several businesses after moving to Poland in 2014. He co-founded The Malayali Beer, a hybrid beer gaining popularity in the EU and featured by various media, including the BBC, with Chandramohan Nallur of KAP. In 2021, he founded Swapp!, a startup working to reduce plastic packaging waste in the FMCG industry, with two Polish co-founders funded by the EU & Polish National Center for Research & Development. Swapp! has received over a dozen awards in the last 2 years for its efforts to build a sustainable economy including recognition from the Polish Environmental Ministry and works closely with leading Polish retailers like Auchan, Carrefour, and others. Currently he also serves as the EU Climate Pact Ambassador for Poland.

Sargheve's interests lie at the intersection of design, technology, business, and sustainability. He is passionate about creating unique experiences that generate revenue and have a larger impact. Besides his professional pursuits, Sargheve is an avid traveler, motorcyclist, photographer, singer, and loves to experiment with world cuisine in his free time.
